Written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, this drama chronicles the formation of the 1970s rock band The Runaways and the relationship between lead members Cherie Currie and Joan Jett, played by Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. Michael Shannon plays famous record producer Kim Fowley. The film is based on Currie’s memoir Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway.
